Hey guys, i finally got my hands on the reissue of Nekromantix 1994 release, 'Brought Back To Life'. I had been trying to find this album for years, so glad they decided to reissue it! It's even better than I had expected! I'm loving the album, has anyone else picked it up yet, what did you think?

The Transplants
Hey...for anyone who might be going to Warped Tour this summer...Tim Armstrong's band the Transplants covered White Riot. I was very close to the stage and I thought they did a really awesome job. I have no idea if it's on their set list for every show...but it should be! (=

Great news - though I may be late!
When I went to Warped Tour a few week ago, I went over to the Dropkick Murphy's tent and they were telling me about the new GIVE 'EM THE BOOT DVD from Hellcat that is going to be released next week. I've been waiting for something on the Hellcat bands and it's finally here. Joe Strummer and Iggy Pop are on it...plus every Hellcat band to date. By far this will be one of the best music DVD release all year!

so I was at Fingerprint, this one record store in Long Beach, CA and flipped out when I found three Clash books. I mean it, THREE! I was blown away, expecially since I can never find any books on them. one is a Joe Strummer documentry, another on the band in general, and another, my favorite, has every song they have ever recorded and how it came to be. amazed

I've been wanting to join a Clash community for a really long time but I'm so shy (yes even online >.> ) that I didn't know which one to join. But anyway, I love the Clash, I have for about two years. I found one of their CD's in my brother's room XD and I listened to it and immediately liked it right from the beginning. Now I'm pretty much obsessed with them now. And with Paul Simonon too <3 I hope that's a good enough intro XD;;

Hi, I'm new to this community. I've been aware of the Clash for a while now, but lately, I've really gotten into them (it might be because of the current political climate). And I think I've fallen in love with Joe Strummer. Seriously, is there a better voice in all of rock and roll? No way, Jose. Anyway, this is a great idea for a community and I'm glad it's here!

Hello all. My name's Gaby and I recently joined this community, haven't posted yet though.

Today I wore one of my Clash shirts to school and was told by someone that "the Clash weren't very attractive" and "at least the Pistols were hot."

this is old, but still a good article.

...Although Strummer conceded that the album should have been limited to a double, he credits Jones for pushing the band further. “Jonesy was always on the button when it came to new things,” Strummer told Uncut magazine. “That stuff we made the week after he came back from Brooklyn with those Sugarhill records -- it all still rocks. This was 1980. And I’ve got to say the next year, when we played Bonds in New York, the Brooklyn audience bottled Grandmaster Flash off our stage. Now they’re all ‘hip hop wibbly wibbly wop, it don’t stop,’ with the funny handshakes and all that.”

"Listen, the bottom line on Sandinista is that you can dance all the way through it,” Jones said at the time. “The only thing is that you have to dance a certain way.”
